This weekend, K and I admitted to each other that when we leave the house alone - leaving the other three family members behind - we both search for the ROCKIN'-est, LOUDEST song on the car radio and turn it up full blast. Then, in our minds, we SCREAM:
"I'm young, wild and free!!
I'M YOUNG,
WILD,
AND
FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"
But only for the next 10 minutes.

Heh. Well do I remember those days.
Now that the girls are older, I feel a lot less stressed out leaving them with grandma, which means I really do get to be "Young (relatively), Wild (Sorta), and Free (Kinda)."
Oh.
-sigh-
I'm still singing "I'm freeeee" sometimes though I do leave at the young.
Thanks for the plug.
I do that too.
I roll down all the windows, put my shades on and try my best to bust the speakers in my stationwagon.
Somehow, the effect just isn't there.
Hehehe...I'm guilty of popping in a CD by the late Britney Spears or Shakira and shaking my booty in the car...
BTW-I love the new pic of you!
I read this yesterday and now I'm thinking that it probably seems like ages ago that you had those 10 minutes free...huh?
Yup. There's only so much you can take of children's music, even Laurie Berkner, that you can handle.....
Of course if you teach the children at a young age to actually LIKE your music, its less of a probelm. My wee one liked some hair metal music. When she was around one, white lion's "when the children cry" could get her to stop crying in the car, oddly enough....
